Kent Misegades and '52 C-170B
Welcome to AeroSouth!

My name is Kent Misegades, and this company is my lifelong goal. After thirty years as an engineer, manager and small business owner, I have founded AeroSouth to provide quality products and services at affordable prices to the aviation community. You'll find more information on my past careers and interests below.

I have been in love with aviation from the moment I opened my eyes on November 6th, 1957. My father, an engineer who worked for the famed aircraft manufacturers Douglas Aircraft and North American Aviation, provided my early inspiration to fly and pursue a career in engineering. My parents, my loving wife and my three wonderful children have encouraged me to follow my dreams, which is how AeroSouth was born.

The official start of AeroSouth was Independence Day, July 4th, 2008, an appropriate date in honor of all the great Americans who have given us the freedom and liberty to allow us to pursue our dreams.

Much of my work is as a freelance aviation photojournalist; you'll find examples under the "Writings" section of this web site.
AeroSouth also provides affordable aerial photography services in and around my home state of North Carolina. I have developed these skills over the years in support of my wife's artwork (see below).

Please visit the "Aviation Art" section for examples of the award-winning aviation artwork from my wife, professional artist Ulli Misegades. Her own web site, www.ullisart.com, will provide you with details on purchasing her artwork or commissioning a painting. You'll also find there details on the "Sky Surfers" calendar that I produce annually in support of sport aerobatics.

In the near future, AeroSouth will offer aeromods for certain light aircraft. Stay tuned for details!

Best regards, and CAVU!
