| EAA1114 - one of the largest and most active chapters of the Experimental Aircraft Association. Since joining EAA1114 in 1996, Kent has served as its Newsletter Editor, Program Chairman and is its current President. In 2001 Kent's newsletter "Aerial Pursuits" for EAA1114 received the 1st Place Award in the EAA's annual newsletter contest. In 2007 Kent's newsletter "The Dixie Acro Flyer" for IAC19 received the 1st Place Award in the same contest, making Kent one of the few two-time recipients of this prestigious title among newsletter editors of the EAA's approx. 1000 local chapters. For details on the many fine activities of this great bunch of aviators, see the chapter's web site, www.eaa1114.org. If you are living or visiting in central North Carolina (USA), please check our meeting schedule and come by and see us at Cox Field, Apex (NC81), just south of the Raleigh-Durham airport (KRDU). Anyone interested in aviation is welcome!
Kent is also an active member of three other fine EAA organizations in the Southeast, and recommends others in the area consider joining these:
EAA506 - based at Johnston County Airport (KJNX), Smithfield, NC..
IAC19 - Carolinas/Virginia chapter 19 of the EAA's International Aerobatic Club.
VAA3 - Carolinas/Virginia chapter 3 of the EAA's Vintage Aircraft Association.
